Smart Speakers & Web Enabled Equipment
If you have an Alexa device the most reliable way to listen to Radio Caroline is to enable the Radio Caroline skill. To access the Radio Caroline skill say to your Amazon device "Alexa, enable Radio Caroline skill."
Thereafter, you'll be able to say "Alexa, play Radio Caroline" or "Alexa, open Radio Caroline" and your device will play Caroline.
If you do not have the skill enabled you can still just say "Alexa, play Radio Caroline" and it will play using the TuneIn skill. However sometimes there is a problem and Alexa plays Radio Caroline Flashback or the French Radio Caroline instead of the main service. This is why we recommend enabling the Radio Caroline skill. There are also other skills such as Radioplayer or MyTuner which can be used to play Caroline.
If you are using a smart speaker which is controlled by the Google assistant, "Hey Google, play Radio Caroline" should work. If you are in France and get the French Radio Caroline, try "play Radio Caroline 648".
Siri devices work in a similar way.
If you wish to listen via equipment such as Philips Streaming or a Squeezebox then you may need to enter the actual address (URL) of the stream you wish to use. These are given below:
64k mp3 stream address: http://sc2.radiocaroline.net:8000
128k mp3 stream address: http://sc6.radiocaroline.net:8040
48k aacPlus stream address: http://sc5.radiocaroline.net:8010
96k aacPlus stream address: http://sc3.radiocaroline.net:8030 * if your equipment will play it this is the best quality stream.
On some devices it may be necessary to add /;stream.mp3 to the end of the address so for example use http://sc6.radiocaroline.net:8040/;stream.mp3 for the 128k mp3 stream. This will still work for the aacPlus streams.
If you require a lower bandwidth stream, you can find more here.
If you have an internet radio you should be able to find Caroline's streams in the stations list. Unfortunately you may find that some streams are from other radio stations who use our name.
