Help
If you are at home and have a broadband connection you should be able to receive all of the Caroline streams providing you have a suitable player. If you have dial-up connection then the low bandwidth player should work. The low and high bandwidth players will try to connect using Windows media player if your computer uses Windows or your default player (eg Quicktime) if you have a Mac or use Linux. If you are at work there may be a firewall which blocks most of our streams, however if you use the low bandwidth player it should work. For most home users there should not be any firewall problems. If you have installed one which blocks the ports used by our streams then you will need to open them. The stream addresses are on the Web Enabled Equipment and Mobile Listening pages.
If you are trying to connect using a mobile telephone please see the mobile page.
If you are trying to listen to one of the aacPlus streams and you see a message about the stream being corrupt, try again. If the message persists check that you have a recent version of the player and that if it is Windows Media Player that you have installed the plug-in.
If you wish to use a different player then you should be able to find a menu option to 'Play URL' or similar. Select this and enter one of the addresses listed under Web Enabled Equipment. Not all players can play aacPlus but the mp3 stream should work. I suggest you then save the link as a playlist for future use.
